The area is very because and quiet. It gives you peace away from your busy daily lives.

The place was clean and neat. It had all the essentials for a great stay. The farm manager was very helpful and friendly.

Poor direction to the unit. No fish in the dam. Bed and pillow quality not good. I expect more for the price I paid.

O wow! What an incredible experience. It is picturesque and absolutely beautiful! Take a hike to the waterval. It is incredible. You do however need a 4x4 in summer. The road is super muddy & impossible to navigate. Oom Johan & Tannie Elsa went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! We had a super weekend of hiking on this lovely peaceful farm, far away from our busy city life! We really loved it!

Most beautiful scenery, can hike or drive to picnic areas. We hiked to different waterfalls with beautiful, clean picnic spots/braai areas. Clean, fresh air - some days the mist came in and the mountains looked more awesome. Very peaceful and quiet place - we only heard the sounds of nature. Night time the stars shines bright. We rested in nature. SA is a beautiful country - with majestic mountains, waterfalls, picnic spots, unique flowers and animals.

Road from the house to town (about 12km) was a bit challenging when it rained a lot - but it dries quicly when the sun shines

Location is amazing…. Beautiful views from the cottage, amazing picnic spot by the waterfalls and so much fun hiking, swimming and fishing for wild trout! Super remote so didn’t see any other people other than the staff Johan and Elsa who were brilliant! Cottage didn’t have an oven so they went to town and brought an Air-fryer oven for us to cook a roast! Thank you for the amazing stay….

You absolutely have to have a 4x4 high clearance vehicle which helps keep this secret place remote!

The freedom... We enjoyed our time on the farm. Early mornings on the pation, with coffee, overlooking the valley with a spotting scope was a joyfull pastime.The boma was also well used. Accomodation was well equiped, clean and beautifully located. Safe, quiet and tranquil. Some comments on the app complaining about privacy as the main house of the property is located right next to Waterfall chalet. Not our experience nor a problem at all. Oom Johan welcomed us upon arrival and we haven't seen him since. Recommended vehicle is a 4wd with high clearance. Would see the need for it after some serious rainfall in summer but during drier months a 2wd with decent clearance would do. You only need to take along food and drinks. Everything is catered for including the matches to light the provided fire lighters for a fire from the provided fire wood. Fishing was great. Lots of sight seeing, hiking as part of the fishing was a great addition to the adventure. The hike to the waterfall is worthwhile. Picnic sites are clean cut and equipped with benches, shade and braais. Don't hike with Plakkies. Take some shoes. Water proof one's if possible. Great weekend.

Not that we didn't like it but to whom it may concern, the hike back from the Picnic site is not to be taken lightly. It's a beast of a walk. A bit of a challenge. Nothing else to report on.

The door to the cottage was left open for us. Beautiful views. Very peaceful.

You need a 4x4 to reach the cottage. Gravel roads which was uneven and rocky.
