Port Mulgrave cosy cottage

The cleanliness and comfort of the house along with facilities were great.

Might have been nice to have a wee welcome gift, nothing major, just something to reflect the area Trying to find the house was very difficult despite instructions. I think indicating the colour of the door, gate or something would have helped and saved us knocking on neighbours

The layout of the cottage was excellent & Port Mulgrave is a quiet unassuming village, which was perfect for me. The bathroom was spacious & I loved the wood burner.

Literally, the only improvement that could be made would be to have a bin in the bathroom & towels provided, instead of having to take your own.

Bad reception on the TV Maybe a dvd player would benefit

Location was perfect, accommodation was super, car parking was great, 10 minute walk to bus stop in Hinderwell. Buses were running 2 an hour - Whitby one way, Staithes and or Saltburn-on-Sea the other way. It was out of main holiday season - September 2025. A mini conservatory useful for walking boots, wall hooks for coats etc. and when the sun was out (which it was) made an excellent drying room. Saw some beautiful night time views of the moon shining on the sea.

The drain in the down stairs shower could do with clearing. It took about 10 minutes to drain away. Other than that good water pressure and lovely hot water. I would recommend replacing the double sized duvet with a king size duvet on the double bed. Could a thicker curtain be added to the upstairs bathroom window for when using the bathroom when its dark? The current window covering leaves one feeling fully on view.

The cottage was beautiful, so cozy, quirky, clean, perfectly located. So spacious, lovely views of the sea. We loved the garden, neighbours were friendly.

It would have been great to have some milk supplied That's all, otherwise was perfect.

The location was good and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was very good at responding to queries.

There is no a guest information sheet to help with things such as wifi and the TV. Not sure if there was any wifi and the TV was unwatchable unless you have a netflix or amazon prime account. I also found the bed uncomrtable.

Location is excellent the house is very well quipped with comfy sofas and great kitchen the shower very good and a bonus bathroom with a bath upstairs

The pillows are hard in the attic room
