Barlovento

Excellent cosy and quiet property.

Nothing. Everything was as expected

The place is very nice, very quiet and located only 1.5 kilometres away from the centre of Calpe where you have access to restaurants, bull running feasts (our case, August, the feast of Calpe :-)), lovely streets in the old town. It takes only about 10 minutes by car to reach fantastic coves in the nearby town of Benissa (cala Pinets, Cala Fustera). You have easy access to the via ferrata routes in the mountains by car (we loved them). Calpe is lovely. The house is cosy and it was impeccably clean. It`s not big but enough for a group of two or three. You have a private parking place, nice surroundings and, the most important aspect, you have a chance to meet very friendly and helpful people - the owners Pilar and Carlos. Thank you very much Pilar, thank you Carlos, it was very nice to meet you and speak to you. PS Our plane landed in Alicante with about 1hour 30 minutes delay, we arrived between 1am and 2 am (about 2 hours later than we were supposed to); Pilar and Carlos came at that time (middle of the night) and showed us the house explaining all the details that might be useful; thank you very much once again! !Muchas gracias!

If there were a pool nearby it`d be fantastic but even without it the place is well worth recommending.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely 9 days’ holiday at Barlovento. We loved the views, the privacy, the cleanliness, and felt safe and secure throughout our stay. The hosts are warm, friendly and communication was first class. One word of warning, don’t do what I did! The garden is so pretty and inviting that on our first evening I went to sit there, completely forgetting about mosquitoes and was badly bitten. My fault of course! I was delighted to find an electric kettle as I know some properties don’t provide one. Barlovento is small, pretty, clean, well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Great for us as we used it as a base for travelling around.

There is only a very small kitchen work space which was fine for us as we only used it for preparing breakfasts and packed lunches as we ate out in the evenings. We were woken in the night by dogs barking a couple of times.

The place is amazing, lovely view and super private. Has everything that you might need for a relaxing stay. Hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
