Apimonte Casa do Pascoal - PN Montesinho

The house is located in a lovely little village surrounded by wonderfull scenery. The host is keeping bees and sells the honey in his shop in the village. It's wonderfull honey. He is very friendly and helpfull. Very enjoyable stay.

Due to being an old village house, theres is not much natural light particulary when the days get shorter.

A fantastic dog friendly cottage situated in a remote village in the heart of the national park. The cottage itself was very comfortable, cosy and was well equipped. The bed comfort was excellent so a good nights sleep can be guaranteed. Excellent walks available from the door through stunning countryside. We followed parts of the published PR walks, but supplemented this with the app “Mapycz” to find other footpaths to shorten the routes to a more reasonable 6 or 7km circular walk. I believe the owner has several cottages of various sizes in the village, and we stayed in a 1 bed cottage.

Our stay was great and had no negatives for us.

This is a wonderful place. A roomy, comfortable cottage with a balcony onto the (extremely quiet) street to catch the evening breeze and sunset, and a more private area in a quiet street around the back to sit out in. The kitchen is well equipped, with things such as oil, salt, washing up liquid and powder for the washing machine; even capsules for the coffee machine. The owner is delightful and so keen to make sure everything is ok throughout the stay. The residents of the village were so friendly and welcoming. I was sad to leave.

I loved everything but you should be aware that the owner, and everyone we met in the village, only speak Portuguese, with a smattering of French and Spanish. No English. There is nothing in this village except for the owner's honey and gift shop! No bakery, no grocery store. The nearest shop is a 25 minute twisty drive away in Braganca. Shop before you drive up here. There is nothing to do here except sit in the sun and hike. Nothing touristy in the vicinity. If you want a typical rural Portuguese village, this is it!!

Everything was just excellent

Apartment very well suited for a winter stay due to its excellent insolation and its efficient fireplace. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, clean and friendly - thank you. Close to some walks in the area.

The host is extremely nice and did a lot to make us feel at home. The location is inside a peaceful village with very friendly people. The nature around it is every beautiful and a good hiking route can be done from the apartment itself

There are only two small windows in the apartment, which makes it a bit dark, and the supermarket was a 20 minute drive to do groceries.
