Longsands Lodge

Upon arrival, we were greeted with freshly baked scones and a generous bowl of fruit. The grandchildren consumed a significant portion of the fruit. Our host provided exceptional service and assistance. The property's location was ideal.

Great Location. Very well equipped place. Good size for 9 of us as a family. Lovely welcome goodies.

Mattresses were uncomfortable in most rooms with springs

Great location very clean and spacious, parking was a great bonus. Host was very friendly and helpful and scones were lovely.

Location here is spot on as is the space of the property and size!

Sadly we were really let down by 2 mouldy and dirty bathrooms…. These issues were in the book and mentioned by other guests previously (wish we had known)… We had elderly family with us who refused to use there en suite it was that poorly looked after… we managed with what we had but raised with the landlord for any kind of refund I’ve since been ignored and fobbed off! Shame as a good location just needs some love and care!!

Excellent location and lovely and quiet. The property had everything needed for a stay there and there were extra touches like fruit and scones upon arrival with a warm welcome note. Very dog friendly with dog bowls and plenty of rugs around. Fast WiFi connection and generally a pleasant stay.

It suited our purpose and there were no downsides.

Location was excellent, private parking space. Owner very friendly and welcoming.

Windows could do with an upgrade as it was winter when we visited and there is alot of gaps around the Windows where the wind comes straight in.

This is a great location and good size property. Lots of space for us to spread out.

It didn’t look as though much cleaning had been done since the last guests. The beds and bathrooms were clean, however we did not feel like we could let the kids play on the carpets and the kitchen needed a good clean. Having to clean up oven trays from someone else’s dinner is not good! A number of fixtures and fittings were tired and in need of some attention, the whole place felt like it was just kept to a minimum standard and not the exceptional standard as advertised.

The location is absolutely great. Also ther was 6 adult 2 children plus dogs and there was plenty of room.

The ensuite in the dowm stairs bedroom could do with some TLC
