Casa Marina

Great place to stay in middle of old town. Highly recommend. Very good communications with owner.

Would be good to have a bit more food storage space and maybe a couple of small saucepans with lids that fit.

Casa Marina is a charming three-storey house on a largely pedestrianised and attractive street in a pretty Axarquía "pueblo blanco". Lots of space (more than we needed, in the end), well-appointed rooms, and a delightful roof terrace with views over Frigiliana to the sea. Our host was very friendly and efficient, with great communication, and the key arrangements went smoothly. Access was actually easier than we initially made it: it is perfectly possible to drive up to the property (even if the signs on Calle Real indicate it is for "Residents Only"), to drop one's luggage, and then to find a parking place on the street a few hundred yards away.

Nothing serious. The size of the property, combined with a cold spell in February, meant that initially it was somewhat chilly inside. We warmed the place up using the radiators. This would not be a problem at other times of the year, and I imagine a house such as this could actually be delightfully COOL in the height of the Spanish summer.

Beautiful townhouse in a phenomenal location.

Parking was a nightmare.

The apartment was lovely. Within easy walks to tapas bars and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. Facilities were great the apartment had everything you needed.Ana who we met to get the keys was lovely.

The only reccommendation would be to have a hand rail to the second floor bedroom to help up the stairs. Our trip was in November and we found that a lot of the tapas bars close early.

We were warmly greeted on arrival at the property, and Anna was always available to answer our queries. Also the ease of departing was great, which allowed us to leave at our preferred early morning departure without having to contact anyone.
