Georgia's Home

It's a gem! Wonderful place, quiet, spacious enough for 2 families, very cozy. The outside patio and garden are just perfect! You have all you need for your stay. The host is very nice and attentive. She came with lots of useful information and tips and responded quick on all our inquiries. Thank you, Georgia! It was a wonderful stay!

Everything was excellent Georgia lives next to property but only see her when needed we had evening meal and breakfast so she comes to lay table serve meal and clear away dishes Georgia is very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her it is a bonus her living next to property. The views are amazing the garden full of olive trees her home is in a very small village the locals are all very friendly the one cafe/shop has most things we needed and the people who own this cafe are so friendly and helpful gave us little extras for free cheese meats etc but we went into local town 15 minutes away for bigger shop on one occasion and got everything we needed there it is a must that you go for a meal at Pabalos house it was an amazing experience 10 course meal (small plates) but enough and every course exceptional Georgia booked this for us and at €50 a head was worth every euro I think he only caters for maybe 16 people 10 of us went only people on his terrace that night but we all enjoyed there is also a restaurant next to his house that was very busy but as we only there 3 nights and one of them we went to see Andrea Bocelli (fabulous) in his home town so did not have time to go there hopefully next time

The views from the property were stunning! Georgia and her husband were wonderful, gracious hosts, very helpful. The home was spacious and suited our family of 7 perfectly, in terms of size. They offered us the option of a welcome dinner upon arrival, which we took them up on, and it was delicious! The kitchen was well-stocked, and we appreciated the small touches like slippers in the bedrooms and hair dryers in the bathrooms. We didn't have time to use the jacuzzi, but it looked very inviting. The patio was beautiful, and we enjoyed a nice breakfast there one morning!

This was more of a personal preference, and probably not applicable to everyone...but for us the location was very, VERY remote. I think the location would be fantastic for a family that truly wants to disconnect and/or an extended stay. For us, however, we only stayed four nights and we wanted a home base to explore the surrounding Tuscan towns (Florence, Volterra, Siena, Lucca, etc.) and the drive was very stressful, especially at night (narrow, windy 2-way roads that made some in our family car sick). Come prepared with some basics for breakfast because options are very limited in Montelopio. Heating, A/C, and tourist taxes not included in your nightly rate, so be prepared with extra cash to pay these upon your departure.

We had the BEST stay here at Georgia's house! Georgia was so friendly and helpful, making everything as easy as possible for us and introducing us to local places, people and fun! The views were spectacular and we really enjoyed chilling in the hot tub, looking over the hills with a Limoncello Spritz in hand! There was a CD player with lots of class tunes to play. Georgia's husband cooked for us one evening and our meal was exquisite. We went to the Andrea Bocelli Concert which was an exceptional experience, visited nearby Volterra (beautiful), chilled in the local restaurants and bars and ended our holiday with a 10 course meal at Paolo's house in Montelopia. What's not to like?!
