Olivier was an excellent host, ready to help, gave us tips where to go for a quiet beach away from the crowds and was open to suggestions on how to improve the property. Contrary to another review I found the bed comfortable and the place was agreeable. Tucked down a small cul de sac it was still easy to reach local restaurants and beaches without a car and away from noise of the busy road nearby.

This apartment is just perfect for me. The kitchen has oil, salt, etc to prepare simple meal. The stove works great. Olivier showed me how to use it. It has a microwave, a fridge and utensils. The kitchen is functional. WiFi- worked really well. I loved it. The room is fine with enough hangers . I closed all the windows to keep the mosquitoes out but that meant I have no natural light but this was my choice. I can’t have both. Below the air cond is a screen door but it has gaps and I am afraid that the mosquitoes can come in. Air Con-inside the bedroom only but kept me cool during the night and kept the mosquitoes out. The location is close to Rua Hotel where you can find restaurants and market, and even dentist. There is a Carib Cafe that offers good food at reasonable price. $10 Euros for half rack of ribs. Yesterday I spent 26 Euros for Chinese food here in the capital . I had a chipped tooth. Olivier took me to look for emergency dental care nearby . There were no appointment. He later found a dentist in La Marina. I don’t speak French. He made so many calls for me. His daughter was in the hospital , and then his aunt broke her leg, and despite all his worries , he really went out of his way to help me out.

Hmm. This is a hard one. Hand Soap and soap for bathing, and paper towel. Maybe the bedroom light can be a bit brighter. But I can’t expect too much because the price is not much.Olivier has a bottle of coconut alcohol drink, enough coffee and sugar and 1 large bottle of water in the fridge so his kindness is much appreciated.
