Trevone Luxury Shepherds hut close to the beach

Great value, great location, small but perfectly formed!

A blind on the over bed window would be useful.( especially in the summer )

Likes: 1. Comfortable cosy 'Shepherds Hut'; 2. Ideal for a couple (or one person); 3. Has all the facilities you expect in a small 'apartment'; 4. Attention to detail by the host (Kerry) left nothing to be desired: tea, coffee & milk on arrival; good quality bed linen, delph, cutlery, etc, required to make breakfast, lunch or indeed a meal (though we ate out every evening so didn't put that to the test). There were lots of lovely touches around the 'Hut' that made our 4-day stay all the more enjoyable; 5. We were met on arrival by Kerry who gave us a full overview of what to do around the place - the walks to go on, the places/beaches to visit, the bars/restaurants/pubs to go to - and the ones to avoid! 6. There was space outside the 'Hut' to sit - breakfast, lunch, read - as well as a separate space to lounge & garden to stretch/do yoga; 7. Walking from the house and by the coastal path, we were on Trevone beach in 10-15 minutes. Lots of surfing/Supping there as well as a nice bar/eaterie (Bruno's). The walk in the evening was stunning as the sun set; 8. Walking the coastal path in the opposite direction, we were on Harlyn Beach in c.20 minutes (depending how long you stopped to admire the stunning scenery! :-) ). There, there was the 'Beach Box' eaterie - lovely coffee, smoothies & cakes. Also snacks & sandwiches (though we didn't try those) but they looked good; 9. You can walk along further to more stunning beaches (take your pick); 10. After we met her on the first day, Kerry was away so we didn't see her for the rest of the weekend. However, some of her family were in the house and were able to look after us with any questions we had and extra coffee pods when we ran out :-) 11. An easy 10 minute drive to Padstow where we spent a bit of time.

There was nothing we didn't like. There are a few things that might be worthwhile taking into consideration... 1. The 'Hut' (as advertised) is located in the Host's garden. This was not an issue for us. It is quite private. You might see the host (or host's family) from time to time (hanging washing, etc) but unless you have questions or requests (see above) or happy to chat (they are lovely people) you will not be bothered. 2. The location is a little outside Padstow. There are a couple of shops/bars nearby (within walking distance) but you will probably need a car (or bike if you are a cyclist). We had one and used it for tootling around (in and out of Padstow & to Tesco's (4-5 minutes slow drive away)) though a bus goes in and out from the top of the road (around a 5 minute walk). 3. The 'Hut' is 'cosy' so great for a couple on a romantic break (perhaps not so great if you are having a 'domestic' :-) ). 4. There is one (very comfortable) double bed. If you need separate beds, the Shepherd's Hut isn't for you.

This is a lovely Shepherds Hut located near a a lovely beach. it was very clean and had all the mod cons such as a heated towel rack and an Alexa as well as all the essential cooking ware. The shower is great and the outside seated area was well thought up.

it was slightly smaller than expected. There is a large window above the bed, however no blind / cover for blocking out the light. it also made the hut very warm during the day. This is fine if you are an early riser but it made the hut very bright for long periods. I did mention to Kerry and she did say she’d consider a blind.

it was very private. superb location. very clean.

very well situated. lovely sunny aspect. quite. had heating. heated towel rail. lots of attention to detail.

The property was in a very pretty, quiet & private area, minutes walk away from the beach. Exactly as described inside, the owners having thought of every comfort and to an exceptional standard. Very friendly owner Kerry on hand if needed. Thank you

Location so close to the beach and beautiful walks and the hut is lovely with everything you could need. Kerry has thought of everything and is an excellent host even offering to collect us from padstowe when we're struggling to book a taxi for our anniversary dinner booking.

Lovely host ,relaxed and friendly. Super hut so close to coastal path and wonderful beaches. Great to have such a secluded space to unwind and sit out in the evening - water feature and lights,comfortable chairs and rugs

All great,even the weather defied the forecast and the sun came out !
