"Overall we enjoyed our stay at Beech cottage"

8.0

Good location, the property was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. The hot tub was excellent. Adequate car parking nice garden.

The garden would benefit with side gates to prevent the dog escaping onto the main road. The window in the rear bedroom and the main bathroom would not close so left open. There was no instructions for the Tv, we eventually got it working with the free view however, the picture quality was poor.

"Wholesome"

9.0

Very quaint cottage which came out right on the bus route into Ambleside. Equally you could take a beautiful walk up over the hills to get into Ambleside too.

Only recommendation is having logs in the cottage for use of the fire.

"Great cottage, wonderful area"

7.0

Location is great, just outside of Ambleside and easy to get to many other villages. Lovely walk up over the hill to Ambleside crossing the stepping stones at River Rothay which the kids enjoyed. Tap Yard in Ambleside has a great selection of its own lager and IPA. The hot tub is nice after a day's walking. Cottage is well equipped, it could comfortably sleep 6. Selection of board games, books and DVDs. Chester's is great for breakfast, lovely granola.

Location - right on a main road, does get a little noisy if motorbikes or sports cars are going past but I knew where it was before I booked it so can't complain too much. Garden not secure for young children. A wooden gate at the hot tub and another next to the driveway would make a big difference and probably put some folks minds at ease. Wouldn't be too difficult to install that.

"Great spacious cottage in fab location"

8.0

Great location and close to the pub and Chester’s. Although would have been good to know neither were open on the last night of my stay

The garden wasn’t enclosed, so I felt a little u easy letting my dog out
