Kootney Resorts

We got an upgrade to a 2 bedroom house. Everything was just good. Especially the kitchen equipment including knifes were extraordinarily good. Great porch for breakfast. Birds were singing during the day and cicada at night. Tropical paradise! Buildings are older but newly renovated. Easy parking, shopping and restaurant in fair distance.

One of two bedrooms had an old noisy AC.

Very spacious and clean cottage with a big kitchen and living area in a super nice "neighbourhood" of other cottages by the river. We discovered too late that the swimming pool was IN the river :( bummer but it was wonderful

Communication was excellent and the property very conveniently placed. really effective fly screens and lots of space

This was our second visit to Kootney, which should say something. We really enjoyed the resort and the hosts. The TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a shower area big enough for a party, and friendly staff made our visit most enjoyable.

We had a neighbor who brought their dog. When they left for an outing they left the dog locked in the room (sometimes all day), who then howled and barked because it was lonely. It's wasn't too bad though, as the dog wore itself out after a while.

Everyone was very friendly and helpfull. Big cottage with all things needed. We would recommend kootney any day.

The beautiful nature location also come with a more isolated location. We would definitely recommend to rent a car to get around and see the beauty of the island.

The accommodation was fantastic. very spacious and well equipped. The porch was so lovely to share with geckos and bull finches and to see hummingbirds and more distantly parrots from. Lovely both in sunshine or rain showers. We didn’t have a car and it was possible to travel up and down the coast on the local busses. And at EC10 to Rousseau why wouldn’t you? Not quite so easy to get into the higher touristy destinations but then we didn’t have to contend with the crazy bus drivers! Thank you to Trish for having such an amazing place. we will be coming back!

We make our own breakfast but all the kitchen utensils were there. We liked the porch, we didn't get wet when it rained. Parrots were cool. Very private. Great hosts. Real nice and helpful people who work there (cleaning folks, gardener).

It would be nice to have a longer couch so that we could lay on it.

So clean, peaceful,a lovely setting just outside of Portsmouth.
