"Disappointed by long-term construction work next door."

Location was great

- Construction work right next door, with loud noise starting at 7:15am, including on Saturday. This is not "rest and relax", and we should have been told at time of booking (the construction is long term, did start months before we arrived, and will continue for several months). - Shower is a trickle of water

Location is great! I loved the quirkiness of the property. Lovely and warm when we stepped in to the house. Easy to access the key and appreciated the parking by the 'big tree' adjacent to the property.

One of the blue chairs in the lounge seemed a bit unstable so we stayed off it.

it was close to the town centre

it rained during our stay and the roof leaked. It was not well cleaned or maintained; the small freezer hadn’t been defrosted for a long time and we couldn’t fit any food in it, the fridge had not been well cleaned, there were a lot of glasses on shelves and most were dusty, I picked up 4 cups before I found a clean one. The house was full of personal “stuff” which made it very cluttered and it was not clear what was for guest use. I sent a message via booking.com about our concerns and got no response.
