GBEverything was easy!
AUThe cottage is open, light and bright. The unadvertised 3rd level snug was excellent as a computer and reading room. This is the first place that I have found a Power Shower (normally called a powerless shower) that actually works. Great pressure and excellent temperature control. The heating worked well and the cottage was warm and cozy. WiFi was average speed but had excellent coverage throughout the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped. The property management company were responsive and key access was easy.
Although parking was not an issue in winter I doubt that finding parking close by in summer would be as easy. We have been here in summer and have had to park nearly a km away. The cottage is overdue for some major maintenance. The front door jammed so two of us were required to open the door. We spent the first two days of our stay unblocking washing machine drains, replacing light bulbs and trying to get appliances working. The site pictures don't reflect the accumulation of junk, broken hoses, tables, chairs and personal rubbish scattered around the property since the photos were taken. The TV only has a few local channels and we had to organise a TV repairman to come and replace the TV remote control as the TV wasn't working when we arrived. The main oven didn't work. We were offered an alternate cottage but on inspection it was also filled with clutter. The cottage was in dire need of a deep clean. The mattress and protector were badly stained and the entire cottage was covered in a layer of dust and we had to clean the kitchen before using. I doubt that Covid guidelines are being followed for proper cleaning. It seems that the bin hadn't been emptied for some time. and the back courtyard was unkempt and slippery with a slime covering.
