The house itself is truly beautiful – a real loft-style wooden cabin nestled deep in the forest, with a dreamy path leading up to it. It feels like stepping into a different world. The bedroom is tucked away upstairs under the roof – very typical for Latvia – accessible via a steep, narrow staircase. We ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room, which was unfortunately quite hard, so our sleep wasn't the most restful. The kitchen is simple but functional – no dishwasher, no microwave, no TV: a real digital detox, with the exception of Wi-Fi, the connection was great. The fridge was quite loud, though. The bathroom is spacious, with a great view into the greenery and a washing machine – plenty of space to hang clothes. But some details could use improvement: the sink is tiny, the shower door only opens inward (tricky for cleaning), no shelf in the shower. The terrace is large and beautiful – we imagined spending a lot of time there, but road noise, highway in 1km distance, (possibly due to wind direction) and lots of mosquitoes in the evening made it harder to enjoy. The village of Saulkrasti has plenty of shops, and the beach is stunning – peaceful, wide, and never too crowded. There are only a few restaurants, but the ones we tried were definitely worth it. Final thoughts: This is a place for those who truly want to disconnect, slow down, and embrace nature – imperfections and all. If you’re looking for luxury, look elsewhere. But if you appreciate authenticity, solitude, and a bit of wilderness, this place will stay with you long after you leave. We absolutely loved it – despite (or maybe because of) its flaws.

So what can I say? It was our best of the best vacation stays ever. Everything was perfect, the accommodation is beautiful from outside and also inside :) Everything is clean, modern and comfortable. And surroundings - the chaley based in the middle pine forest and very natural garden with a lot of wild flowers and plants which are, in first look, very carefully and with love cultivated. My wife was excited. 15 min. to beach was nice walk to see the sunset everyday. One day we did a rest day and took the train to Riga (the station is close but we went by car and park directly near the station). Riga is a beautiful city, especially city center with full of restaurants and pubs. Rest of week we took trips by bike every day. sometimes directly from accommodation, sometimes we took the car or train. In the end - the stay in this cottage and this place was excellent. I can recommend it to everyone who is looking for peace, quiet and relaxation from the everyday hustle and bustle. Beautifully designed and comfy tiny house. Very clean and well maintained, exactly like in the pictures.

All fine! Just a note to people who are physically challenged: the ladder to the bedroom in the attic is steep, ceiling is low. So it’s a bit of a balancing act to get in and out. But thankfully there is a night light installed.

The reasons for the complaints of the previous visitors were the same (hard mattresses, missing shower shelf), but this was compensated by the house's unique design and location, which left the feeling of a real forest of silence, because during the construction, trees and bushes were left as much as possible - respect! That's why it felt completely private, even though there are two other houses on the same lot within a radius of about 100 m. There is no air conditioning in the house, but even on really hot days the house maintains the temperature very well (leave the doors and windows closed during the day). We missed a large, soft sofa (the existing one is quite hard, although it offers more surface area when opened). When the new sofa arrives, we will start visiting all the time!:)

The feeling of rest is unexpectedly affected by the need to mess with the bed linen yourself - put the bed linen on when you arrive and take it off when you leave... Could consider changing this arrangement, it would leave a hospitable impression!
