The host Miika was so helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and we had everything we needed close by. The kitchen had all the cooking implements we could want. The shower room had extra soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo etc. The location was lovely and Miika prepared the sauna and open fire for us for when we got back in the eving. I would highly recommend it.

Great cottage experience, truly authentic countryside Finnish experience as per described in previous reviews. The puusauna was great as well as the bath tub (extra payment for it in cash). Miika was a great host and always made sure we had a pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend it. Kiitos vieraanvaraisuudesta! :)

First of all, we were welcomed very nicely by the Owner, who showed us all places and functions. The location is extremely beautiful with perfect Sauna just next to the lake. Boat and 2 x Sups (!) were available. We were blessed with sunny Finnish summer weather and truly enjoyed the 22 C lake water with Sauna. The main cabin is sweet and rustic with great cooking possibilities outside the cabin. One can also cook at the Sauna area. Everything was technically mastered to take the best care of the visitor. Superb experience - we would love to return!

If you want to stay at a cottage, this is for you. You’ll have the tiny guesthouse. It comes with a double bed, air conditioning unit inside, refrigerator and a flatscreen tv. The sauna at the lake is wonderful and hot and it is private enough that you can skinny dip in the lake. There is a pergola at the lake where you can enjoy your lunch or a glass of wine. Very peaceful and calming. The host, Miika, is a nice guy but doesn’t speak English. There is a paddle board or a rowboat to explore the lake. It’s about a 13 minute drive into Savonlinna. Hit the grocery store first for your supplies.

This accommodation isn’t for the faint of heart. It is truly cottage living. The toilet is compostable and is outside. Drinking water is from a well and served in a plastic container. The kitchen is outside under a shelter. BBQ and hot plate. The shower and sink are in a separate building. The shower works well.
