AUQuiet and beautiful
Thin walls which is common for most properties in Japan.
USSuch a beautiful stay with extremely friendly staff! They communicated very quickly and easily and the hotel itself was so gorgeous, perfect for a group of 5. It was pretty easy walking to most arashiyama activities, but leaving the area requires a 10 minute walk to the station, which isn't a difficult walk at all
it can be a bit noisy as the windows don't block out any sound, especially at night. restaurants in the area are also a bit limited and most places close early

Noise from road, but manageable. Little further walk from train station with luggage, but good that it's away from the crowds, in residential area.
CNBeautiful property and a good location. We loved the style and the spacious bathroom! The washer+dryer was another plus point for us as we got to wash our clothes. The best part is the extremely helpful staff even though we had communications barrier. I left one of my luggage when I checked-out and the staff was kind enough to stay back till after hours to wait for me to pick it up. Service was too-notched!
The only downside about this property is the space. It was a little small for 6 people as we each had one big luggage and we did not have much space left after opening all of them.
