Braam is an amazing host and was there to welcome us on arrival and answer any questions. He has very detailed information for all guests on how to navigate the house, things to do in the area, recommendations of restaurants and activities. The cottage is very cosy and clean, has a lovely small pool in a quiet garden, which was great on a hot day. It is a walking distance to a few good restaurants, and a short drive to others, and it felt safe to walk at night. Shame we only had one day there, as we had to continue to the next destination. Would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends.

Authentiek, mooie inrichting en spullen. Fantastisch vogels kijken in de tuin, geweldige host.

De bedden in de “extra” kamer waren erg hard. Eén toilet en badkamer voor drie slaapkamers is krap, en de keuken is klein.

"Heerlijke karakteristiek woning en fantastische gastheer!"

Deze oude huisje ligt in een rustige wijk in het prachtige Swellendam. Fantastische ontvangst door Braam. Braam nam via whatsapp vooraf contact op en stond keurig op ons te wachten toen we arriveerde. Aan alles was gedacht. Je kon het niet bedenken en het stond in de voorraadkast. De enige wat we moesten regelen is onze eigen eten. En daar was Braam ook heel behulpzaam. We kregen goede uitleg waar we het beste konden eten. En wat hebben we heerlijke struisvogel gegeten bij “De Vagebond”. Braam leefde ook erg mee met onze vervolg reis. Hij gaf ons tips en advies over de mooiste en beste routes naar onze volgende bestemmingen. Braam legde de lat erg hoog voor onze andere gastheren. En om eerlijk te zijn niemand kwam dichtbij hem in de buurt. Even ter vermelding. Swellendam is ook een heel veilig dorp in de al zo onstuimige Zuid-Afrika. We voelde ons geen moment onveilig.

Dat we er te kort verbleven!

The warm welcome , flowers in the house, ways beds were made, flowers in the garden, the porch…

Bed in the ‘flat’ was considered as tto hard, however beds in the house were the best ones ever!
