Villa Casa Avocado

I don't think we've ever met such loving care from the hosts as in Casa Avocado. Absolutely lovely and gorgeous property, full of character and little thoughtful things, was perfect place to explore Crete. Spotless clean with every little detail provided. When there was an issue with water pressure due to the local authority works, the hosts came about at 1 am in the morning to bring us a 6 pack of bottled water! And handmade cakes, fruit, breakfasts, fresh oranges - all of those little things made it the best place we've been to so far. Thank you!

The host Sylvia is just delightful, helpful and so welcoming. The villa is fabulous and just as the photos show... In fact better when you factor in the citrus trees that grow in the grounds. The electric gate front entrance adds to the sense of security and privacy. On arrival Sylvia explained everything we needed to know about the house and recommended where to eat locally. We discovered fresh food items such as bread, cheese, juice, milk, water and a fabulous cretan white wine waiting for us in the fridge, to tide us over until we could get to the local shops (in Taverontis a village about 4 mins drive away). The house has everything you need and is exceptionally clean and well looked after. The pool was regularly cleaned. After 3 days, towels were changed and bins emptied as you'd expect, but what we didn't expect was the beautiful bed decoration, complete with flowers and sweets. The basket of freshly picked oranges (from which we made fresh juice everyday), fresh homegrown salad in a basket and a cake left for us. So generous and thoughtful. We had 6 fabulous days here. A car is a must for exploring the beautiful beaches. But only an 11 min drive takes you to good beaches and brilliant Tavernas at Kolypari. It's also easy to get a taxi to Taverontis if you'd like a drink. And there is a beach here also. Sylvia kindly supplied a taxi number for us to use. Chania is 30 mins away and a must to visit as is Falassarna on the west coast, a 40 minute drive. We chose this over Balos as it still a has crystal clear waters and pink sand but is far more accessible. We headed early, but noticed many heading there for sunset. We were sad to leave. We had a late flight 8.45 and luckily Sylvia was able to offer a later check out. She came to see us off and check all was well and her generosity came to the fore again with a kind parting gift and souvenir of our stay. Truly one of the nicest places I've ever stayed.

Beautiful private gated retreat location, excellent facilities for a family stay, with a short drive to local towns with all amenities. Well located for reach of western beaches and Chania. Very clean and comfortable. The host and her family are very welcoming and attentive to their guests, cleaning the property halfway through the week and providing fresh products from the site. It was a pleasure to stay here, I hope to again soon.

Nothing really. The only niggle for us was the WC plumbing not accepting toilet paper made things a little difficult with a young family. It would be better to have a toilet bidet hose installed.

Loin des itinéraires touristiques, l’accueil des propriétaires a été au delà de nos attentes. Fruits frais, œufs, gâteau maison, nous n’en attendions pas autant. Maison parfaitement équipée, sans vis à vis, ménage tenu, très fleurie, au milieu d’un champ d’avocats. 20 minutes de chania, 30 minutes de fallasarna, localisation idéal pour visiter cette partie de l’île

Very nice house, it has everything you need. The owners are very friendly, they make sure that you have a great time at their accommodation. The location is also great, close to Chania and beaches, but also to beautiful gorges and the mountains. We hope to come back one day!

Nice house with everything needed. With nice patio and pool. Quiet neibourhood. House has sauna and jacuzzi for additional price, but we didn't use it. The host was very welcoming, she brought some food, water and wine for us to have for starters. And after even brought homemade cake and presents. It felt like we visited friends. Host changed bedsheets and towels after 2 days of stay and freshened up the appartment (we stayed 4 nights in total).

Everything!!!! Th house is super well equipped, it has everything you need. The garden and the pool area is just AMAZING. It is 5-7’ drive to the beach and also close to Chania. The owners were amazing. They gave us fresh food several times and small goodbye presents. Also cleaned the house during our stay. Ive tried many properties in my life, this is the best BY FAR!!!!!

We loved our stay at Casa Avocado! The property itself is just amazing - it is a really cozy stone house very nicely decorated and with a really modern bathroom design. We really enjoyed the jauzzi, barbeque, sauna and you actually have every single appliance and utensil you need. The garden is lovely and even though is close to the main road you feel like being on the middle of nowhere. There are shops/restaurants though very close (5-10 minute drive). However, apart from the property, what makes your stay even more special is the host. She greets you on check in and explain everything you need to know about the house and the area and makes you really feel at home. The welcome package with fresh eggs from their own hens is fenomenal.

There is everything you need for a perfect holiday. The house is super comfortable with great facilities including bbq, pizza oven and lovely outside seating areas. unfortunately the weather wasn’t great for us but it was nice and cosy in the house. we especially liked that the cupboards had everything you needed for cooking so you didn’t have to waste money on these things.

Casa Avocado is a great place to stay. The owners were very nice and welcoming, many kind attentions. House and outside equipments are very well equipped, clean and well maintained. Perfect for good vacations !
