"A perfect family getaway"

10.0

The cottage was perfect. It had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean and cosy. Our host was very friendly and helpful and guided us to the nearby restaurants and local facilities.

There was nothing to dislike whatsoever.

"Lovely new year stay, a cosy cottage and clean cottage. Lovely walks nearby"

8.0

Very welcoming and helpful host, really clean and lovely location

The only issue we had is was classed as dog friendly, owners very welcoming of the dogs but no direct access to a garden, just a paved courtyard where dogs had to be kept on leads, our dogs dont like peeing or pooping on leads which meant we had to go out the back gate and walk to the field outside. This didn't impact too much on our stay jsut meant we had to get up, dressed in the morning to take dogs straight out

Our visit was really was home from home, everything you could possibly need is there. It was a beautiful property that is lovingly been restored. We used it a base to visit the university's and to have a family reunion. The town has many shops, walks, river, bridge, and cycling paths surrounded with countryside views which I will use on my next visit.

"Felt like being watched"

7.0

We arrived 10 minutes early went to collect keys to be told no , it isn't 4 pm yet She then came through the side gate saying she had to take final checks , then showed us in. All good Unfortunately bathroom door handle fell off , they said they'd fix it but never did , the lady came to see us ne t day saying we left bathroom fan on , this was connected to the light , apologised but kids must of turned it on in the night . We then got asked to move car as over line slightly , even though there was enough room for another car, it was awkward to park due to cars across Rd parking . Jenny did explain they'd had problem with damp, Unfortunately the smell was very strong in kitchen especially in cupboards, Lots of cobwebs collecting dust, I had to move sofa as I dropped something and it hadn't been cleaned for a while , sweets , hair ,books Bathroom tap was broken. Pubic hair in shower . The cottage it self is gorgeous needs some tlc and cleaning a bit more thorough. Location is fantastic 👌 We felt like we where being watched by hoists as they where next door. ( not that they where)

Loved the cottage!!. Great size for family with teenagers. Great location, only a few minutes walk to town to shops, lovely pubs serving good food & the fab 1930's cinema. Good base location to explore the Cornish coast. Hosts are lovely & very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
