The Old Mill, Kilcorkey, Bellanagare, Castlerea, County Roscommon - West of Ireland -House 1

We felt very welcomed here and it is a lovely home in the countryside not far from a village and I would highly recommend it.

So peaceful lovely area

Host Gerry provided us with fresh Eggs, Milk, Bread, Water, Tea and Coffee. We had no expectation that these would be provided and were delighted that our host should be so thoughtful.

We found no fault with the acommodation. We absolutely loved it. It was sad to miss Gerry on the final day so that we could say a face to face thankyou. However, we were aware that he was busy and so sadly missed out on saying goodbye. An absolutely delightful host.

Warm, comfortable, great location and super hosts. Provided eggs, milk soda bread, tea/coffee for our arrival.

Great location in quiet location just off N5. Upon arrival there was bread, eggs bread and milk available. Good size bedrooms and large lounge and kitchen. Central heating and internet was very good. Even though we didn't meet Gerry in person he sent plenty of detailed messages with instructions about the place and recommendations about places to visit in the area

The hosts left a supply of bread, butter, eggs and milk to get us started, we were self catering.

We loved the location. Very tranquil and quite, we woke up to the sound of cows lowing. Only a stone's throw from the N5, while off the beaten track the Old Mill is just an hour away from Westport and even closer to Sligo and Athlone. Gerry and Isabel were amazing hosts and went far beyond what one would expect from a host. We experienced some difficult circumstances during our time there and they were extremely generous in their support. A 5 star rating just doesn't do them justice. On arrival they had soda bread, eggs and milk to get us going. Internet was great and the place heated up in no time. The Old Mill is a place I would love to return to. The area is steeped in history and there is something very special about this lovely spot.

This is a beautiful old mill building that has been well fitted out. The hosts met us and were very helpful. Peaceful location but in walking distance of a pub.

Hosts were lovely and gave detailed tips on local area - we ate at one of the places they recommended and it was great. House was great - lots of charm and local features.

No milk provided when bottled water, tea, coffee were. Milk would be better to leave rather than water. Also the TV was tiny for the size of the living room area and seating arrangements. Small details and fairly minor and definitely wouldn't stop us staying again but something to consider for future. We loved the property though overall and the hosts were amazing.
