Premium 3-Bed Detached by Papermill, Deeside - Wirral

We had a really nice, relaxed stay. The property was conveniently located for our visit to see family, with shops and restaurants in the area and easy access to main routes. The house was exceptionally clean and tidy with everything we needed. It was warm and cosy when we arrived with the heat on which was very welcome. There is plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped with cooking equipment, fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine and dishwasher. Tastefully decorated and attractive throughout. Keys collected from lockbox outside made it easy to get in and convenient.

Minor niggles that prevented us from giving a 10/10 - the wheelie bins were full and no instructions for rubbish/recycling so we didn't know what to do with our rubbish. The sofa in the living room is very low and uncomfortable - a few more cushions would really help. The tea/coffee/sugar canisters needed refilling as there were scraps of paper in the sugar and the coffee was rock hard. Soap dispenser in the bathroom needed refilling. Would have appreciated some shampoo/shower gel. Found dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Lightbulbs gone in the upstairs landing and one in the lounge. Blinds in lounge - the track is coming away from the ceiling and rawl plug falling out, a quick fix and would prevent someone accidentally pulling the whole track down and causing more of a problem. As I said, small things that didn't bother us too much but details that could be improved. Overall, we had a very comfortable, pleasant stay.

Only fault was the grass in back garden had not been cut so was over a foot high which meant we didnt get to sit outside and use the garden area

Clean accommodation with easy check-in / check-out. Good amount of space and in the location we were looking for. The house is near some parks and you can walk down to the river easily.

Kitchen pans were worn out / rusty. The carpets down the stairs needed a refresh, as it smelt a little musty when we first came in - after airing the place and a few hours this was rectified.

Location was fine for railway station

Only one toilet Bathroom light was exceptionally poor, could not see without leaving the door open

We liked being in a whole house with parking and garden. It was very warm and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was big enough to cater for a family, with washing machine, dishwasher and oven. Good to be able to turn up late and be able to let ourselves in. The owner was friendly on the phone.

It was a bit sparsely fitted out particularly in the kitchen. No sharp knives and not enough mugs. There also wasn’t any toilet roll but I expect this was an oversight and not usual.
