Fernery Garden cottage, near Skibbereen

From the moment we arrived, we loved this cottage! Its location is so peaceful. We stayed for 6 nights. Inside had everything you would need washing machine, microwave, fridge, table top freezer, everything we needed was there which was great with young children! The location is fabulous, such a good base to get to different attractions. We had great communication with Michael prior to our arrival with very clear directions, etc. We look forward to visiting here again sometime. Thank you!

Nothing, we couldn't fault one thing.

I have to be honest and say I ticked all the boxes for cleanliness etc, even though we didn't actually stay, I just assumed they were very good...We we're booked in for 3 nights this last week,, and Michael who owns the cottage reported a burst pipe the day before we set off, we expected to have to cancel and sure these things happen...but no Michael booked and fully paid for alternative accommodation with another local provider, for us, checking in with me that the amount of beds etc was all sufficient...I must say we have had a lovely time as the second house Michael organised was lovely (as I am sure was Michael's cottage!) And the whole break was salvaged for me and 3 teenagers who well deserved this short break, so thank you so much, for going above and beyond, much appreciated!!!

The cottage was lovley. central to all the places we wanted to visit. Micheal our host was very helpful. we are looking forward to a return visit in the future. we would recommend this accomadation to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in West Cork.

The overall feel of the property was great. I wish we could spend more time around the cottage but we had a pretty full schedule. Fully equipped, all amenities in good condition

The tv didn’t work couldn’t get the channels only for the now stick I brought with me we’d be looking at the walls . The owner was saying it was because of the clouds but I tryed the tv when there wasn’t any clouds but it was the same way. The mini freezer was dirty in side .the microwave was also dirty and had rust . When we arrived at the property we were dying for a cup of tea the tea bags were out of date and there was no milk in the fridge . I tryed to check in at 2 instead of 4.30 but it was declined as the owner said that they were people checking out that morning and he wanted to give the cleaner time to tidy up the place . Didn’t think it would take 5 hours to clean a small house .the shower was small

Small, well-kept cottage in the middle of greenery. Perfect for those seeking peace and relaxation. Kind owner. Convenient proximity to Skibberren and located near some lovely places to visit on your own with your car.

It was lovely touch that there was firewood left so we could light the stove. House very comfortable and instructions very clear.

Outstanding cottage- warm, cosy, excellent cooking facilities and perfect Wi-Fi. Beautiful surroundings and only a ten minute drive from the local shops and restaurants. Michael made us feel very welcome and I cannot thank him enough for providing us with all the information and help we needed before our stay and during. When I’m visiting West Cork in the future, Fernery Garden Cottage will be the first place I check for availability. Absolute bliss.
