Love the history of the building and penang state! Not the host.

No sound proofing at all, you can hear every motor and car passby at night & it is very loud. To make things worst, bed & pillow is not comfortable at all. Maindoor is super hard to lock, One of the towel is not clean & smelly, TV not working, Fan broken, lighting not working & owner seems like dont border at all as I saw some reviewer complain the same thing on previous review before me. I should have alert and avoid this property at that time... Dont expect anything from the host...lying all the time. Sent my request upon booking if I can check in earlier but never reply. Text me asking how many car coming and all, thought that got parking for us but end up she just ask for fun and we have to park few blocks away. Reason being there is many airbnb on the same row and the public roadside parking are so litter so parking is full all the time, night time even worst as the parking is occupy by the club customer so pls be aware you have to park ur car far away and walk to this property every night. i was reaching the property 1pm and ask again if I can check in earlier but host lie to us saying that they are still in the cleaning process but there is no one there that time as the maindoor is locked, I tot got back door or something nvm I go somewhere else 1st. Come back 2.30pm and texted host I'm here pls open the door but she still lie to me saying that still in cleaning process & don't allow me to go in. I waiting right in front till 3pm, no body came out from the property at all ( no back door.) Why u wanna lie to customer who support your business? Overall very stress staying here.

The owner clearly had ideas about the space. It feels like a gallery inspired by Seksan's work, but only to a certain extent.

The fan wasn't working, the light wasn't working. I asked for a stand fan or table fan so we can sit in the living room but the answer is simply "the staff went back". It was 5pm. The kitchen hob was broken, so are some wares so the kitchen is not usable. It was so loud at night as there's a bar and a club at both end of the building. Loud music until 2am i guess. And then the traffic noise from the street. Bed not comfy. Towel smelly. Check in/out time is ridiculous. We asked to leave our luggage after check out until 1pm but again, the answer is no. A lot of things we can close one eye but the level of hospitality is the worst, combined with the noise & the location makes it not worth it.

Good concept and decor. Had the whole space all to ourselves. Kitchen facilities were basic but fulfilled our needs. At the heart of heritage area.

Very noisy at night, no sound proofing at all and we could hear every sound coming from the street outside. The music from the pub a few doors away went on until 2 am in the morning. Definitely not for light sleepers. Also very dusty with cobwebs along the walls. Only one bathroom.

Very nice house.. super easy and clean..
