Pat Larry's Cottage

We absolutely loved how welcome and relaxed we felt from the moment we arrived and Isabella greeted us, the Welcome sign and set up was amazing and so appreciated. The cottage is absolutely beautiful inside and out the setting really is just perfect! The bedrooms are a brilliant size we fit both travel cots in with plenty of room, the kitchen has absolutely everything you could need and more, the sofas are lovely and comfortable, the stove is just brilliant and it was great that Isabella had it set up just ready to light for us! The main bathroom is lovely and big plenty of space and the onsuite is also a good size, everything was beautifully clean and homely. The boys (Koa 15 months, Kobi 9 months) had an absolute ball playing with the diggers, trucks and tractors and seeing the animals! It was just amazing for them to have so much freedom and fresh air! The fresh eggs where absolutely delicious! We are already planning our next trip!

Absolutely nothing, didn't want to leave

What a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature! The fresh air and tasty spring water from the farm were refreshing. The host was fantastic, providing us with great recommendations for nearby attractions and making us feel truly welcome. The farm experience was incredible, with calves, cows, sheep, hens, chickens, and even a charming goose. I visited with my parents, and they felt completely relaxed. We enjoyed a peaceful walk around the well-maintained property, which was a wonderful experience. The house itself is cosy, with perfect heating, and we were treated to fresh country eggs straight from the farm—so delicious and flavorful! We will definitely return to enjoy more of this beautiful place. A big thank you to the host for accommodating our request to explore and assist on the farm.

The hospitality of the host. She is a sweet woman. I also like that is was on a farm. It was very cozy.

Our host Isabella is so very passionate about her family and connection to her previous generations through Pat Larry’s Cottage that she made our visit very special. The house and farm had heaps of character with many nice touches. Isabella was very warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home from the outset. The cottage is very comfortable and well appointed for two couples, like us, or a small family. The farm was in a beautiful setting with cattle, sheep, hens, a goose and cat with kittens to make the visit even more enjoyable.

Issue with hot water in the main bedroom but Isabella was going to get straight onto it, which I have no doubt given the way she has so much pride in her cottage.

The host Isabella met us on arrival, she had the fire lit and talked to us about the history of the house and all details regarding our stay. We loved the rural location and all the farm animals, we got fresh eggs from the hen house in the morning and loved how friendly the chickens and rooster were. There were also new baby kittens in the barn! Amazing place, just wish we had longer to stay and explore.
