1850s historic Row House 7min train to NYC with private backyard

So cute! And great location to the subway, shops, local eateries. We had the best time!

Much much better than expected (after reading previous reviews). Cozy place, great neighbourhood! We were 5 people and the place was spacious enough. Be careful not to put all your suitcases and backpacks on the top floor bedroom, because there isnt much space on the floor! Cute backyard, nice place to relax. Spacious living room with some fun board games for you and your friends. All amenities we needed in the kitchen were provided. Hot water 24/7 with high pressure in the bath tub. Some people might not like the style of this historic house, but we liked it. Also it's 2 blocks away from the subway that goes to WTC in 7 minutes. All in all we had a great stay and we missed the place when we left.

The location was easy to access from highway, very close to grocery stores and entertainment, and short walk to the PATH train. My kids and I enjoyed the historic N.J. vibe of this house.

No oven in kitchen. We brought a bunch of ingredients (including cake pans) to bake a cake for my daughters b-day. Definitely an oversight on my part, just wanted to make others aware.

The location was excellent, and the building had all the facities we needed for a week's stay. The heating was good, and the kitchen came equipped with everything needed for a family stay. The upstairs bedroom was great, and the downstairs sofa turned the loungeroom into another bedroom. The rear courtyard was nice but didn't get much use by us due to the cold winter weather.

The pipes of the heating system had a tendency to make cracking/expansion-contraction type noises at irregular times, which occasionally woke us up in the middle of the night....the place was toasty warm though!

If you want to live like a local, staying here will give you that. Great location, close to subway, ferries and lots of local shops and restaurants,

A little claustrophobic for us, not use to this style of living. Not sure if having 6 people in this property would be good. The courtyard was a welcome feature.

The only good thing about this property was the location. It’s right near Jersey city and the train to get to the city.

This property was not cleaned well, especially the bathroom. I have pictures and I’m pretty sure there is black mold under the bathroom rug. The patio in the pictures also look way different in person, looked like nobody had cleaned/ cut weeds in a long time. Plus the host did not mention that the lights don’t work out on the patio so once night came we couldn’t see anything. I just thought the place would look more like the pictures and I feel like we got catfished. We were so excited to stay here especially with the location and it wasn’t clean. The AC barely worked on top of this as well. And lastly the host was not quick with responding and ignored my messages about the cleaning. I sent pictures and he just messaged me when check out was. Honestly I never complain but there is so much to complain about I had too.
