Excellent tranquil location, rightly named Mist city as it was fully covered with mist amidst mighty Western ghats.The well maintained resort is away from the town in a serene place ideal for couples and family for spending a few days away from chores of city life.The food was tasty and homely.Thanks to Govindraj the property manager for the prompt communications and tips on the local points of interest.Thanks also to the other staffs who were equally helpful.

Approaching uphill road in the last 1-2kms was a bit off-roading after the rains... Unfortunately we missed the splendid views due to heavy mist, planning to be back again for it..

The location is excellent and staff are very friendly and helpful. Rejil was patiently waiting for our late arrival and made us feel comfortable with his unassuming and committed attitude.

Breakfast and dinner were just average only. The so called 'restaurant' was only a small dining area with minimum facilities. For a resort charging at a four star rate should have better dining area and food. The bathrooms should be improved too. The UPS in the bedroom was disturbing the sleep with its fan working in short intervels. It could be kept elsewhere in the villa.

The location. Vrindhavan Mist City boasts of the highest and the best view point in Kanthalloor. It's breathtaking. The resort itself is located at a secluded place at such an elevation that you are entirely surrounded by green hills with a cool breeze always, far away from the crowd. They have planted ornamental plants and flowers through the entire two kilometres and stretch up the hill till the resort. The first thing I noticed was how they have taken care of each plant by carefully pruning it and labelling. They even had Camellias (my favourite one, I never expected I will ever find one in South India). They also have apple orchards, pomegranate farms, amla and Sabarjilli. I booked a two bedroom house with an open terrace and a kitchen and two attached bathrooms with bathtubs. Within five minutes of booking my stay, I got a call from Mr Rejil. He was always available on the phone and was very thoughtful and promptly attended my every queries. The service was very good. About the food, breakfast is complimentary. You have to pre order the dinner a day before, since they have to get the grocery needed for preparation from Kanthalloor village which is 5km down. We had parotta, chapati, chilly chicken, chicken 65 and chicken curry (the chicken curry is highly recommended, it was delicious) prepared by in house cook Ramakrishnan. They will also arrange local sight seeing in jeep and trekking.
