"Never going to Lake Tekapo."

Good room and amenities.

Location. My wife and I are in our 70's. We did not rent a car. We arrived in Lake Tekapo from Christchurch by bus with luggage. There was no way we could have walked from the bus stand to the property with all that luggage. There was no Uber etc, no taxi. We did not know what to do. I wish the host had given us an indication of how we could travel from the bus stand to the property. I had asked thhis question earlier but never received a response. Fortunately a wonderful lady at a Information Center in Lake Tekapo somehow managed to get a taxi for us. The taxi drive and owner is a farmer and rarely drives the taxi but he did for us when this wonderful lady asked for help. I am never going to Lake Tekapo again. But do not get me wrong, New Zealand is an outstanding place to visit.
