Nordic Escape - Lake Tekapo

Property is great

Pillows were stone hard and all pans scratched so couldn’t make fried eggs :)

Very near town center. Unblocked views. Fairly spacious layout for a smaller-sized apartment.

Thin walls, so little insulation from the cold from winter. Rooms are not insulated from noise outside of it as well. There was a heating pump that would shut down before the apartment was suitably warmed. There was a prevailing stale smell around the kitchen range hood.

The view! Stunning view of the mountains surrounding the lake and a large terrace to see it including from the master bedroom. The rest of the accommodation was absolutely fine. Clean and comfortable with all necessary facilities. Nice to have a Nespresso machine. Night was very quiet and very dark.

The apartment gets very hot during the day. Thankfully you can open large sliding doors at either end to let a breeze flow through and by the time bedtime comes it is much more pleasant.

Very spacious and a nice view

beds were too soft for my liking but that's just my preference. The house was very hot upon checking in, would be good to have the windows open to ventilate. Had to have the aircon on for majority of the stay because it was way too hot otherwise.
