"Nice old farmhouse that needs some updating especially new mattresses everywhere."

5.0

It's a lovely, large old house - lots of beds and bedrooms. Complete large kitchen and dining room. Clean. There was a manual to help us with our stay but some info incomplete. Liked visiting the farm animals. Appreciate that they accept pets.

All restaurants in area open late. Has a complete kitchen but we had no food for breakfast. All mattresses uncomfortable. Had to email to know how to turn on hot water but got a quick helpful reply. My husband finally figured out how to turn on internet.

"the one night we stayed was not good"

2.0

The location. The cottages are cute. Animals well cared for.

The house was generally clean, but the beds were awful and smelly and so were the sofas in the sitting room. Also the carpets were either dirty or badly stained. There was also animal faeces thrown on the back fence. That was a step to far. It was disgusting. Got in touch with Sandra 3 times (on arrival, the next morning and when we came back home) and she never got back to me. Thats just bad manners and rude. We only stayed one night as the beds were so old and uncomfortable that we couldn’t get a good nights sleep. General standard, not acceptable. This place is only suitable for hen/stag parties. Maybe the other cottages were much nicer, but no 3 was NOT. I do appreciate that the price was reasonable, but that does not mean it is acceptable to have such low standards of accommodation.

"Large house, very quiet, close to restaurants and supermarket"

7.0

The house is very spacious, plenty of bedrooms and beds. It was very convenient to stay there with parents and kids. Plenty of cutlery in the kitchen. Very quiet and peaceful.

Hot water is connected to the heating. We switched off heating for the night - and woke up to cold water in the shower. We stayed only one night, so could not use this knowledge - passing it on now )) also, while the kitchen is full of cutlery, it was absolutely empty. We came late, after hours driving, and before putting kids to bed I just wanted a cup of tea. Spoiled by European houses, where you arrive to lots of compliments - tea, milk, biscuits - I did not have tea bags with me. Luckily, local supermarket around the corner worked till 10 pm. But I believe it would not hurt the owners to leave couple of tea bags and a packet of biscuits to the visitors. I was even tempted to leave mine there if I would have known they would not throw it away.

"We enjoyed our stay but there were a few inconveniences."

6.0

Very reasonably priced and a convenient place to host 10 people. Plenty of beds, large well stocked kitchen with large dining table, two bathrooms. Convenient to several restaurants and a grocery store.

There weren't enough towels for everyone. There were only two when we arrived and the host brought over three more when we asked but we had ten people so it still wasn't enough. It was hard to figure out how to close and lock the front door. It took three people to figure out the very particular way to do it. It would have been nice if there had been salt and pepper and some common condiments stocked in the kitchen. The hot water faucet in the downstairs bathroom didn't work. It was also awkward that the house radiators were connected to the hot water heater so that if you turned off the house heat there was no hot water in the morning.
