Orkos Naxian Wave 3

The area where the place is, is only suitable for people who want to do water sports. Apart from that the area has really not much to offer. There are really few options of restaurants nearby. The apartment is semi basement. We booked 10 days in this place to enjoy family holidays with our 6 months old baby. As we did not know the area around we did not know that it is not baby friendly at all. No sidewalks for the stroller, not even streets that lead to the beach and the restaurants nearby. After we arrived there, we realized that we will not be able to go around with the baby or do anything that the baby will enjoy. So we contacted the landlord and explained her our situation and told her that we will unfortunately have to leave and find a place more suitable for us. We politely asked if possible for her to return some of our money back since we stayed only one day out of the 10 we paid. She didn’t have to do it since the booking was non refundable, we just hoped that she will be understanding of our situation with the baby. She agreed to return an amount back after she was paid by booking. But when I contacted her few weeks after, she ignored my messages and my phone calls. This is a pity because having lived in the country for so many years I made the experience that you can count on Greek people’s word. Unfortunately the lady was an exception and decided that some hundred of euros are more important than her dignity and reputation.

Peaceful, quiet area only 20 minutes away from the busy port!

The small shower with a partial wall was a bit of a challenge! My main suggestion would be to provide a fan for the bedroom. The wall a/c unit had trouble reaching the bedroom, so a fan would have helped cool it down for sleeping!
