Appliances were amazing and everything we needed. Clean, modern and cozy on a wet weekend.

The water pressure and heat could be slightly increased.

Dankbaar is a charming cottage part of the Die Kom estate. We spend our time sitting outside on the stoep with our morning coffee and afternoon sundowners. The cottage is beautifully decorated and offer facilities of a high standard. It is centrally located and easy to get to all the little shops and restaurants. The cottage is on the beach where the fishermen launch their boats, so we really experienced the charm of this working fishing village. We were ladies travelling on our own, we never felt unsafe. Cottage has security shutters, beams and alarm. Security guards were patrolling the estate. We were privileged to meet the owners of Dankbaar, what a lovely couple and their dog. Cant wait for our next visit, this time with the husbands.

NOTHING. The Fishermen activities at night, might be off putting for some, but we enjoyed watching them launch their boats and coming back in the dark.

Beautifully furnished place in the heart of Paternoster. Attention to detail in all the amenities available and provided. Very clean and comfortable including the beds and bathrooms. The patio was great overlooking the beach and a great spot to take in the sunsets. Great location within easy walking distance to many restaurants and the grocery store. Really felt like a home away from home.

Great equipment, the latest and most modern appliances, everything furnished with great attention to detail and taste. We were also lucky enough to meet the extremely nice owners, really great people.

I would have liked a partition/door to the bathroom in the back bedroom 😉

Location and views were fabulous. Apartment was on 1st floor creating privacy and great views of the beach and bay from a large terrace. The building was extended by the owner who has her own holiday apartment on the ground floor, the photos in listing are pre-extension, so we were pleasantly surprised that it was bigger than the photos show. The owner was lovely, not intrusive at all but on hand if we had any questions. The property was very light and airy, the bedrooms were larger than we expected with 2 ensuite and 1 family bathroom next to the twin bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely like to return to this fabulous apartment. Which was on a very small private estate with a security guard and barrier at the entrance, meaning it was a very quiet location without any passing traffic.

The beds were firmer than we like, however we slept surprisingly well, the bed linen was of high quality. Everything else was great.
