"Top level experience for a group of friends"

I had flashbacks from my youth, like being in my grandparents' house. Such warm feelings. There are four different common areas in the house for a group of friends to spend time together. Of course, we used the brick barbecue. The garden is a kind of extra entertainment. Lots of necessary dishes and other stuff. There are two small supermarkets 5-10 minutes down towards the coast. They have almost everything you need for a meal (and charcoal too, if you ask). Also, there is a medical center and public parking (in addition to private parking place) near the house.

It's far from Funchal and the airport. You need to rent a car if you want to be mobile enough to see more points of interest. Fortunately, car rental is quite affordable on the island, unlike taxis. You need to close the windows if you don't want to wake up early in the morning because of some noise from the local road.

Everything was fine. :) Carla, who was managing the house was super kind, helped us with the car rental and replied almost instantly to our questions. The house was nice and tidy. We received even a small gift as a welcome. :)

There were some ants in the kitchen. Pack the food double, and dont leave it on the table.

"Beautiful and spacious house full of history"

It was the best rental I had in Europe. A big spacious house for my family, with sea view, big parking and a huge garden. Two bathrooms and three bedrooms, everyone had plenty of privacy and the living room was cosy to gather and to eat together, the kitchen was well equipped and the WiFi was working well. Walking distance to the natural pool, yet it was full with tranquility and beautiful view. We stayed for 9 days and it was wonderful.

Some issues with ants, you should absolutely leave no food and garbage on the ground floor, they even managed to crawl inside the fridge.
