"A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. It was peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwin"

10.0

What I liked most was how clean and comfortable the property was. The bed was comfortable, the facilities were well equipped, and the property was quiet and relaxing. The location was also great, with easy access to local amenities and attractions.

Everything was spot on

"Fantastic place to stay"

10.0

We had a lovely time at the cottage, we down to see my sons sister and whilst we there we would definitely stay again.

The fact that the double bed was too small for myself and my wife and the television was a bit outdated

"Beautiful setting heating apart perfectly happy."

7.0

In a beautiful setting the accommodation was roomy and had good facilities. We were greeted by someone which was a nice touch. The property was clean and tidy .They had provided logs for the fire .Warm water and a warm shower.Plenty of cupboard space . Enough kitchen facilities should you wish to do a basic meal there.Beds were comfortable. it was quiet.Good entertainment in Huddersfield a short drive away . Would book again but only during summer time.

It was cold inside the cottage in mid October. As we weren't in long enough during the evenings to light the log fire.Which apart from a small electric radiator was the only potential heating.

"Great rural property."

8.0

Cottage in a rural location, suitable for 3 people, and a dog (there was a dog bed provided if necessary!). Good walking and lots of other attractions fairly near. A few of which we visited, Manchester Museum , RHS Garden Bridgewater, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Hepworth Gallery, National Science and Media Museum.

"Very good"

8.0

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They were just next door so anything we needed we could just give them a shout. The cottage is locat3d in a beiatiful.part of Slaithwaite with glorious views and it was lovely to sit on the patio in the evening watching the sunset.

The single bed was a little uncomfortable. Also would have appreciated some basics like coffee, sugar, maybe some olive oil? There werenjust a few tea bags.

"A good base for our walking plans"

8.0

We liked the location although it wasn’t possible to walk into Slaithwaite because the roads were too narrow/didn’t have pavements. The cottage suited our three adult and one dog party well and, as others have said, the beds were comfortable and it was good to be able to park right outside, even if turning the car around was a bit of a challenge. The host was very welcoming to us all including the dog.

We are always okay with paying for our dog to join us, but wish this could have been included in the booking price rather than £25 cash on arrival. A personal preference. As others have said, the kitchen utensils, pots, pans etc could do with a bit of an update but we managed to make several meals so it was all okay. A pint of milk in the fridge would have made a cuppa on arrival possible. We brought the basics plus salt, pepper, ketchup and olive oil with us, but sadly forgot milk.
