"Was a very homely, comfy and cosy cottage, a home away from home."

10.0

We loved the fireplace and the chosen scents throughout the cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed using the fireplace to set an ambience. Also we loved the wee welcome basket that was set up on arrival, as it helped us during our stay. We enjoyed the location as it was close enough to a park and good walking routes for little ones.

Wasn’t a fan of the thickness of the pillows as it resulted in a sore neck but understand it’s hard to get perfect pillows for everyone. Additionally, was sad about the guestbook being full and no space to write down reviews in person for host.

"Gorgeous, Cosy Cottage; with everything you could need"

10.0

This beautiful little cottage truly has everything you could possibly need for either a short or longer-term stay, just like ours. From the moment you arrive, it feels comfortable, well thought out and very welcoming. The kitchen is particularly lovely and extremely well equipped, with everything you need for cooking, washing and drying, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. The shower is fantastic, with excellent water pressure, and the beds and bedding are simply fabulous. In fact, they were so comfortable that we have ordered the same pillows for our own bedroom. Earsdon itself is a great location too, peaceful and charming, yet within easy reach of both the coast and the town should you wish to explore either.

In truth, there was very little not to like. As with many period properties, the only small point worth mentioning is that both the front and back doors are a little draughty, and could perhaps benefit from a simple draught excluder or curtain to help retain heat. This would make an already cosy cottage even more comfortable, and could also be beneficial for both guests and owners in terms of improved warmth and potentially lower heating costs.
