Very close to all amenities

Owner disregarded our preferred contact details and shared important information solely through the app. We had to contact customer service to get access to the property.

"Nice house, nice location"

6.0

Really clean on arrival, good location for exploring the area, pets allowed albeit with extra charges, top floor lounge was a nice cosy area with books, few games and DVDs, fleeces for cosying on the sofa. Beds were both comfy and we were plenty warm enough. Kitchen was well equipped, dishwasher, microwave, things like a flask and cups are handy if you were heading out. Loads of takeaways and restaurants in walking distance, and would really recommend the Tempest Arms about 10 mins drive (make sure you book!) and the China Express takeaway. The garden area is lovely, we asked for the key to have a look one morning, but to get to it you do have to go out the front and walk round next to the road. In summer I think the garden area would be a huge plus to this property, looked to have nice seating, BBQ, summer house with fridge etc (we stayed in March so wasn’t quite warm enough to make use of it) We explored Skipton which was the most dog friendly town I’ve ever been too, loved the castle and the castle woods circular walk. We arrived to enough milk to make a cup of tea and the tea/coffee essentials which was appreciated

The stairs from the ground floor hallway to the first floor flat are extremely steep, couple of items in the kitchen had not been well washed (possibly because the dishwasher needed both salt and rinse aid), bath plug didn’t work, shower didn’t drain well. The sofa bed is in the lounge which has skylight windows with no blinds which didn’t impact us as we weren’t using the sofa bed but would have been an issue if we were. Doors to the second bedroom and kitchen didn’t hold closed which meant stopping our dog from roaming was a bit of a challenge. Dining table is squeezed on the landing, which was handy to have, but did feel like you were eating on the landing
