Villa Laidike with sauna/fireplace, 80 km Helsinki

Absolutely beautiful location, lake was frozen over which made it so special. The home exceeded expectations just purely because it's very rare you get a place exactly as the pictures. Host was so quick to respond to communication especially when we locked ourselves out of the accommodation it was resolved quickly and kindly. Clean and spacious home for only us two and home sauna was easy to use. Everything you require for cooking including salt and spices etc were there and even filters for the coffee machine, which I learnt how to use.

The only two complaints which really are very small and didn't affect the stay were that I didn't realise how close other homes would be to us, however the design of the home is clever and felt very private when we got into the accommodation but just first impressions. The other is because of the weather we used the fire and the BBQ and the cleaning process was rather time consuming and I would have been happier to pay a bit extra and not have to worry about that on the day of check out. Especially as we wanted to do it properly and do a good job, it took time.

The house is great, with a beautiful balcony area looking towards the lake. The house had all the creature comforts one could ask for and an amazing sun couch for readying in the afternoon sun. Berry bushes and fantastic walks just beside the house make this a lovely family option for an summer trip.

The steps towards the lake were a bit treacherous for anyone who isn't 100% mobile. My folks opted to not try them as they didn't feel safe - this is definitely not the property's fault though!! Rather, just something to keep in mind.

No direct access to lake view, but 2 mins to walk downstairs, not a big issue

It was EVERYTHING what you could wish for a cosy and quiet leisure. The house is equipped with everything you might need, the lake is amazing and the huckleberries in the forest made this stay twice as good!

Lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. Perfectly equipped and maintained property. Very clear instructions for checking in and out.

everything was great - the nature ,the house ,the fireplace and sauna, and the boat -everything you want for a getaway ! although it’s a very secluded place- be ready that you won’t meet anybody around during your stay. it’s far from civilization and a long way to drive from Helsinki.
