The accommodation is mostly nice and comfortable. Wifi works well, aircon and fan work well. Lots of plug points available in convenient locations. 2 full sized fridges is definitely useful for longer stays when you dont want to spend your holiday time shopping for groceries. As with most properties in Marloth Park, its beautiful to be out in the bush and have wildlife roaming on your doorstep.

The hosts ignore messages on the app/platform. Key pick-up is from the "24-7" office, who I had to Whatsapp my arrival time to, but they also dont respond to messages. When I arrived, the offices were locked and dark. I had to wander around in the dark, feeling like an intruder, until someone heard me and came out in his shorts to help. He said he did see my message, but forgot about it. The remote control for the alarm did not work after a few days. I replaced the battery myself, which fixed the problem for a day or 2, then it stopped working again. When I accidentally triggered the alarm, security took about 30 minutes to respond, and the responder was struggling to walk, and would most likely not be very useful in a real emergency. If you leave food out for a short time or dont do the dishes quickly, roaches start to appear. The light switches are not where you would expect them to be, and some will only turn on when 2 different switches are both turned on at the same time. Confusing to use. The gas geyser was turned off when we arrived, and there were no instructions about how to use it. After cold showers on day 1, and some fiddling and experimenting, we managed to work out how to get hot water, but after about 30 seconds it gets too hot to shower in. If you turn on the cold tap at this point, then the geyser shuts off, and you need to restart the process. Maybe we didnt have the settings on the geyser correct, but it should be correctly configured before guests arrive, and/or instructions should be provided. The can opener does not work. Dishes were not properly clean on arrival. Just 2 rolls of toilet paper provided for a 10 day stay (but the price per night is the same if you stay for 1 night or 10).

Didn't have breakfast

There was no breakfast, we were actually expected to wash the dishes we used. The bedding wasn't fresh.

We liked everything. The animals that visited us were sublime (Kudu, our ever present little Gazelle and the Warthog family) The amenities (shops, swimming pool etc, )are really close by. Quiet, peaceful accommodation with the soothing sounds of nature. Everything was clean, the color coordination is on point and the aircon is an added bonus cos it's really hot in the bushveld! We enjoyed the tranquility.

My family was overjoyed! The literally loved everything.
