Wild Turkey "The Perfect Getaway"

The cabin was wonderful, large, and comfortable. The pool table and jacuzzi on the porch/balcony were both great for the kids to have things to do while relaxing. Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, and private balcony with a porch swing off the master bedroom were really nice also. I would definitely stay in this exact cabin again. My kids are begging to go back.

It was probably the extreme humidity that week, but the cabin felt damp throughout most of the stay. Not enough to be a major complaint...but enough that it was noticeable. I loved how secluded the cabin was, and woods around it. But it's worth noting that while other cabins in the area have a nice moutain view, this one does not. You can see beautiful wooded hills and watch some wildlife...but there is no yard at all, no place to sit outdoors or let the kids run around. The road up to the house is narrow, steep, and winding, and would definitely be uncomfortable or possibly perilous for anyone not familiar with driving in such conditions. Personally, I would not venture stay at this cabin if I was just in a 2WD car. AWD/4WD vehicle with some ground clearance is recommended, as after a rain, my AWD SUV still slipped and slid a few inches backwards on a very steep part of the road up.

It was secluded, kind of.

Dishes were NOT clean and those responsible for making sure they were need to find a new job. The pool table had an entire rail that was broken, making playing a game impossible. The beds are very uncomfortable and mattresses need to be replaced ASAP. There's even a huge, very noticeable dip on the one side of the bed in the master bedroom. The TV in the master bedroom didn't work, but got replaced after my complaint. I had to tighten the toilet seat in the master bath because evidently that's not anybody's responsibility except those that rent the place who shouldn't have to do that. Road access was pitiful. Only one car width and the fallen trees, construction, and oncoming traffic make it a hazard and a half.
