Higala Hostel Siargao

Lo mejor del alojamiento, su trabajadora, Juvy. Un encanto de mujer, disponible a cualquier hora para solucionar los problemas o dudas que puedan surgir.

Cuando llegamos, no tenían constancia de nuestra reserva y tuvieron que confirmarlo, pero ese problema es pasable.. El problema vino con el agua, tuvimos problemas todos los días que estuvimos ahí, quedándonos sin agua a cada momento, un fastidio venir lleno de arena de las playas y no poder darte ni un agua.. deben corregirlo si quieren dar un servicio acorde.

The vibes is okay

Prices are unreasonable based on the hostel actual conditions. The marketing photos look really great, but the actuals are meh. There are karaoke sessions in the middle of the day through early evening, regardless of people who just got in from day activities and are tired. There are also dogs within the property who barks (not all night). Room is pretty basic, just beds and airconditioning for the price that we pay. No other appliances or devices.

Staff were super friendly and also gave us lots of information to get what we needed. It's so good to sleep well after surfing. The location is good to be between the bridge and surfing area.

Maintain the facilities that need to be done. Rain leaking, lots of rats, ofcourse, there were cats to chase them away but noisy. Hopefully, it will be fixed well soon.

Don’t like this place at all, the ac was very strong but that’s about all that is good about it here. The staff are up late partying and doing karaoke very loudly, very unprofessional.

There are no televisions, the price is much too high for the lack of facilities. Had to wait 30 minutes for them to clean the room even though I booked it hours ahead of time. Then the staff didn’t even have a key to my room so I could not leave my things locked in my room when I went to get dinner.

Such a lovely stay at Higala, had booked a private room which was super clean and so was the en-suite shower room. The location is fantastic, a 15 min walk to Cloud 9 and the same to sunset bridge with lots of restaurants/bars a walk or short tuk tuk away. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. I would 100% return and recommend ❤️

In fact, it does not look at all like the photos presented. It's ok for a short stay, But don't expect a nice stay.

Very friendly staff.

A bit pricey for what I got compared to other accommodations. Bed was ok, but not really comfortable.

Property was clean and tidy and close to cafes/restaurants etc. there are bikes to rent on site which is very convenient. We did the island hopping which is also available to book on site Staff were extremely friendly and kind!

Only negative is there is a rooster right next to the property which was very noisy most of the night
