La casa de Tea

The house is lovely and cool in the heat and much bigger than expected with a well equipped kitchen. The terrace is a special place to relax with multiple seating options in sun or shade and an outdoor shower to cool off in. The village of Santa Lucia is beautiful and quiet. Great for evening strolls. We walked straight from the house into the hills and barrancos or drove up the valley a bit to access the higher paths.

Nothing, nada!

The place was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The bed and couch were comfy and the shower was great. Everything you could possibly want in your home away from home. The host was so thoughtful and generous, leaving extra towels and blankets and all sorts of treats for us from local speciality gofio, which I had never tried before, to fresh fruit & beers. The little terrace garden was wonderful. A little oasis bathed in the scent of jasmine & orange blossom. The photos don't do it justice.

House is located in a beautiful, idyllic village, in a very peaceful and quiet area. The host and the neighbours are all welcoming and friendly. The host met us at the bus station and drove us to the house, where we were welcomed with gifts, like a wide selection of teas, bottle of wine, homegrown fruits etc. The house itself is cosy and comfortable, with plenty of space in the sleeping room on the gallery. The house and the furniture are well maintained and everything is super clean. The terrace in front of the house offers intimacy and a nice view of the mountains, makes you never want to leave the place, but yet it would be a shame not to because the surroundings are well worth exploring.

We found great hospitality at La casa de Tea. The host was very kind with us, we felt like at home. The house was clean, tidy and we found everything we need for living. The location is magic: in the terrace we could experience the peaceful atmosphere, the silence, the sun…we chilled out in a big way!

We stayed here for a week with our 5 year old and we all loved it. Beautiful location in a historic village of the highlands of grand canaria. Property has amazing mountain views and sits right on hiking paths heading for mountains. It's 10mins walk from a really good BBQ restaurant and village supermarket. The owner was really helpful and caring. We even locked our key inside once and the owner had no problem with it. He got to our rescue within 15mins from my phone call 😊 On arrival we found a bottle of wine , fresh organic eggs fresh lemons from the garden and other delicious bits. Every other morning we were greeted with home baked bread. All in all its great quiet place for families or couples who likes nature and history and wants to see a different side of the island.

Jose, the property host, and family were nearby and he provided home grown fruit and herbs plus all the usual benefits for self catering. The patio area has excellent views of the surrounding mountains with seating, table and loungers. The location, being central, is perfect for walking into the hills either from the property or short drive. Locally, there are general food stores and restaurants so to eat in or out is within walking distance.
