Lovely site, lots to do and a great comfortable stay. Had everything we needed

Only gripe was the constant contact from booking.com - too many messages!! And the tin opener didnt work - so that is being picky! We had a great stay!

We didn't have breakfast. The lodge was clean but very dated, I would not say it was a luxury lodge

We didn't like the location of the lodge as there was a lot of traffic noise. The lodge needs redecorating and new soft furnishings, it is not a luxury lodge. Only one side of the toaster worked and just before we left while cooking toast for the children the electrics blew, I'm guessing from a faulty toaster, I rang the number given and left a message, no -one has tried to contact me. I couldn't contact them by e-mail as the wifi wouldn't work any longer. I was asked to leave a 5 star rating for the property and if I couldn't give them 5 stars, would I contact them to discuss, I sent a message on my return home and still have heard nothing from them. We felt the pool on the complex to be too cold.

We had to clean the property before we left and then check our by 10am. Meaning that we spent an hour before check out tidying, stripping beds and cleaning. If we wanted to do that we would have stayed at home. We booked two nights but with 3pm check in and 10am check out we had one whole day at the property and then had to do their tidying up. We’ve stayed in many caravans before and check outs always later, even hotels are later than that, we’ve never been expected to do their cleaning especially when paying over £400 for one whole day at the property. I was emailed once a day regarding something or other before we even stayed it was very bombarding. If I had known all of this before I wouldn’t have booked. This property was described as a luxury cabin and the price was for a luxury cabin, I believe luxury is not only the physical property but the service you receive, a luxury experience isn’t doing all your own tidying up or they’ll keep your £200 deposit.

Everything was clean and in good condition. Beds were comfortable and I loved the softness of the bed sheets. Hot tub was great and perfect size. Overall we were very happy with the accommodation.
