Stunning views in a lovely party of the island, comfortable and wonderfully sized for a week away, adored having the balcony and views from there would be amazing to see when the vineyard is in bloom. Our flight was delayed and they were so kind to rearrange check in

As per other reviewer parked on main road rather than driveway which was too steep for our hire car, far easier than tackling driveway Dogs noisy but freindly

This property is all about the view! It is incredible. I spent hours just sat on the balcony watching the world go by. The property was immaculate when I arrived. The bed was supremely comfortable (if you like memory foam) and I slept very well. It was very nice to have a washing machine and a freezer! There is a private parking space, but the drive is VERY steep with a crazy hairpin at the top that was very uneven (very typical on Madeira!). It was made more difficult if someone was parked right at the top. It is fine if you are in an SUV with a high clearance, but my tiny car scraped along the bottom trying to get out. I simply parked on the street and walked the 50m to the property b/c I didn't want to damage my rental car further. It wasn't a problem, but something to note. Also - bring a jumper. I noticed a few reviews saying how cold it is in the house. This house is in the mountains and it will be colder than the coast. Madeiran houses don't have central heating (though a small space heater is provided). And bring socks if your feet get cold. Again, it is so damp on Madeira that nowhere is going to have carpets. I was absolutely fine with a jumper and socks and I was there during a very cold snap (sub 10 degrees C). Very nice house that I would consider staying at again in the future.

Some of the kitchen equipment needs to be updated. All of the pots and pans were in pretty poor shape and that made cooking difficult. Also, basic items missing such as a colander for draining pasta. It is a small thing, but almost everyone I know who self caters makes pasta. The corkscrew disintegrated in my hand the first night so I bought a new one and left it for everyone else to use. I hope the wine Karma comes back to me for that one :-) Also - something was wrong with the boiler and it was leaking. The owners knew, but it got worse. I put a large tray under it but one time I was out all day and it overflowed across the whole kitchen. Hopefully this gets fixed b/c it was a stress for me when I was out.

When visiting Madeira, will choose this property again! The view is amazing!

Nice view, large sliding glass doors both in living- nand bed room leadig to wide terrace. Full size clean fridge (and freezer above). Clean, new apartment. Nice location by the road up to encumeda (also by bus...), but of course, not on the walking distance from village of Sao Vicente. Snack Bars and grocery store, however, in the neighbourhood. Excellent wifi

Quite narrow selection of wine/drinking glasses for a full apartment. Enough, however. Due chilly weather on northern coast, would have appreciated wider carpets on floor. As well pillows might have been disappointment to someone?

Fantastic views from house, lovely small garden, fresh mint in garden, some fruits and veggies from garden, good location, nice supermarked nearby with also lactosefree en glutenfree options

Very minimalistic in kitchen supplies, towels and hot water.
