Locust Retreat in Marloth Park

Lovely place for a quiet getaway. Well furnished and comfortable. We had daily visits from the wildlife including giraffe and Kudu. Our host Jose was very helpful. Highly recommend.

The quietness

Too small for 4 ppl, you can move around the house is jc too small, no dining area, the kitchen has a small space u need to put things on the floor because theres no table or enough space to prepare food. No aircon we suffocated and buying our own electricity to get comfortable but none was indicated before we moved in. We have to have out meals outside the house .

The place was nearby main road and the cleanliness of the house.

Extremely friendly hosts, the small things matter, they have tea and coffee for your first night so you don't have to dash to the shops, cozy and modern, good wifi. Aircons are a plus, didn't use the pool but it's deeper than your standard splash pools in most accomadation in marloth park I've stayed at, , solar backup (not that we needed it). Hosts supplied potjie pot on request. Hosts are truely fantastic and respond quick, will recommend them

Very close to the main road and far from the river views but definately not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind if that's what you're after but then prepare to either pay alot more or get an old uncomfortable accommodation.

Small and have only one bathroom

Locust Retreat offers a lovely stay. It is very neat, clean and modern. The host is very friendly and helpful. The visiting animals were a huge treat to us and especially our kids. Will definitely recommend.

Beds are very hard if you're someone that prefers a soft bed.
