Julie has impeccable taste. Decor is better than the photos And was so accommodating to our 3 dogs leaving treats and dog bowls out for them The welcome pack & toiletrie items were beautiful. We are definitely coming back, Julie.🤣

The cottage was very well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The basket of goodies was a nice surprise and very welcome. Parking was easy - directly outside the cottage.

The property itself was beautiful. The host was in constant communication. The thoughtful little touches throughout our stay was just above and beyond. We were down for a bike rally and all we banged on about all weekend was how boujee our property was, whilst all our friends froze in tents! Deffo doing the same next time! Haha

There were lovely touches made to Holly Tree Cottage that made it a very chic and comfortable accommodation. Julie also provided bits of hospitality that were extremely kind and the fresh flowers in the kitchen were stunning giving off a gorgeous scent. Overall we loved our stay and it was in a great location for visiting Kynren and the surrounding Weardale areas.

It was lovely and set back from the road, beautifully clean and decorated! Lovely walks near by! We had a lovely stay here, dog friendly and when we arrived found a basket of treats plus dog treats and extras! Julie was on hand if we needed anything. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Nothing. Amazing place to stay

Excellent location for Hamsterley Forest (important for me as I was mountain biking there). Very accommodating host, especially in regards to storing my bike over night. The property was lovely, great decor and furniture. Very comfy bed and everywhere was spotlessly clean!

This is a lovely self contained property in private grounds. There is use of a small secluded garden which is also very lovely. The property itself is immaculately presented with all the facilities you need for a stay. We only stayed two nights but would have happily stayed longer. There was a very generous complimentary hamper including biscuits, chocolate and Prosecco, which was very welcome after a long drive to the area. The property is located in a very quiet rural area so you will have a perfect nights sleep. The owners have stocked the property with all the essential things you need including tea/coffee making facilities (milk included).

There is nothing to dislike about this property itself. High Etherley is a small village with two pubs but no shops. If you intend to eat and drink at the property then you can get supplies from the supermarkets in nearby Bishop Auckland, about three miles away. If you're arriving late bring breakfast food with you.
