Lovely cottage, great location, comfy beds.

Pile of dirty laundry in full view near back door. Dog hairs on carpets and rugs. Some dishes and cutlery needed rewashing. Grease spots on hob. Dirty pillow.

The location and cleanliness

No printed nstructions for hot water system or heating

Good kitchen, bedroom, toilet.

There could have been some firewood for the fireplace.

Good size living room and bathroom.

Upon arrival, the oven was found to be unclean. Additionally, the electric radiator in the kitchen was non-functional, making the space extremely cold. Despite the owner's promise to send the cleaner back, this did not occur, forcing us to purchase an air fryer for cooking. We also found no logs available for the fireplace. Communication with the owner regarding these issues resulted in a single, unhelpful "sorry." The living area was also problematic, with a very uncomfortable, uneven duck feather-filled sofa and broken TV cabinet drawers that posed a potential tripping hazard, especially for children. While we prefer not to complain, this honest review reflects our significant disappointment with the accommodation and the owner's lack of adequate response or accountability.

As a fan of Whiskey it was mandatory for me to visit the highlands and the Macallan distillery so the location was a + for me, 4 minutes driving or 25 minutes walking to the distillery. (We visited the distillery) The cottage was fantastic we get the code for the door few days before our stay (about a week) the indication were precise and it was no problem for us to find the place Private parking just on the door (love that) the property was clean and the heating on when we arrived (17:30) was warm and welcoming Only two of us but the property has 2 bedrooms both of them open and available for us. Good size kitchen (We love cooking) with all the equipment needed for our 3 nights 4 days. Sitting room big enough for 8 people, good size TV. Massive toilet with 2 hand wash and a good size bath tube (No windows) good size towels plenty for us. Good size bedrooms and beds Comfortable and warm during the night Space outside with some tables and chairs perfect for a family reunion (we use the one nearby the kitchen for breakfast in the morning) nice views Stay from 9th of April to the 12th of April 2025 The weather was AMAZING

Great living room and good sized, comfortable beds. Shower was great with good supply of hot water. Location peaceful and close to whisky trail.

There was no working heating in the kitchen which made it very cold, but the rest of the house was warm. Driveway was relatively steep and with snow and icy tracks we were able to get up it in our vehicle but could part at the bottom. No instructions left on how anything worked and instructions to turn off hot water on departure were not clear. Communication was limited.

Great location, plenty of room, kitchen was easy to cook in. Wish we had more time.

Spacious cottage, decorated with great taste. Comfortable stay. Spotless clean. The location is excellent for whiskey related trips, really close to points of interest. You need a car to go out, can't really go anywhere on foot, so only go if that is not an issue for you.

Communication is problematic. The host only contacts on the day of the arrival, leaving you to wonder if anyone has seen the booking. I contacted customer support, they agreed that it is an unusual practice and did some research. It turns up that they only text on the last moment. In our case, the host gave us arriving instructions on the afternoon of the arrival day and only after I contacted them again. Luckily the name of the cottage appears on Google maps and I was able to set up my GPS. Do go to this place if it fits your needs, but keep that in mind, so that you don't wonder what's going on.

Being picky no teapot
