Derwent Valley View

The house was in a great countryside location but close enough to local attractions. The decor was lovely and bedding and towels were of hotel standard. Kitchen was well-equipped. It did feel like a home from home. Also the dog was well catered for with a crate, blankets and dog bowls.

I’d be a bit nervous about driving up and down here in icy weather. The stairs are very creaky but I guess that’s only a problem if you’re trying to sneak around!

A mirror in the second bedroom would be useful, I had to dry my hair in main bedroom.

There was nothing to not like

It was cosy but very well equipped.it was nicely decorated and everything was good quality.

Not good for dining only 2 kitchen stools and small table area.

Nice view everything you needed even milk in fridge complimentary cereal coffee etc

Superb view of surrounding landscape. There was a one hundred and eighty degree view of the night sky which you could enjoy from the comfy window seat in the lounge. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas including the Peak District, Chatsworth House, Chesterfield and Matlock.

A minor issue but could have been easier access between the back door and the outdoor seating area - currently there's vegetation you have to step over.

The location was good and the view everything you needed in the kitchen and plenty of room for the dog who settled very well

Everything was fine

The house is well equipped and had everything we needed. Had parking for 2 cars. A very quiet location with no passing traffic.

The staircase is very noisy so difficult to creep about at night without disturbing the children!
