We requested for early check in as we had a wedding to attend nearby at 4pm. The staff tried their very best and our early check in was granted. Thank you so much for your effort!

Nice modern and clean apartment with easy walking access to an interesting town

Friendly and informative welcome from Pedro. Facilities good as a base. Terrace would have been used if weather had been better. Location a short walk from a very good bakery / cafe for breakfast, and the scenic pedestrian bridge across the Douro. Only 15-20 minutes walk to the station, which the vineyard tours tend to use as a customer pick-up point. On-the-road parking for our 3 motorcycles proved safe enough - the road is not very busy. The nearby railway line is not very busy and we didn't really notice it.

On arrival there was a smell of drains in the apartment, which we traced to one of the en-suites. It resisted our attempts to clear it over the first night. On messaging Pedro the following day, he immediately visited with a plumber. The smell was subsequently gone. Pedro did advise there had been a wider drains issue in the town which may have been the cause.

Large bedrooms. Outdoor patio. Very clean.

Not enough coffee, toilet rolls for 2 days. No washing powder, pegs, drying line, iron, ironing board. . Tiny bathrooms, though adequate. A little expensive for the facilities. Cramped cooking.. Kitchen seating a bit cramped for 4.
