Tabua Village Madeira Suite VIP

We loved our stay here! The property is really cute and our room was clean. The host was incredibly sweet—she even brought us fresh fruit and cooked us breakfast one morning, which was such a thoughtful touch. There is also a very cute look out point, where we enjoyed some wine in the evening. Having access to a washer and drying rack was a huge bonus, especially after long days of hiking and outdoor adventures. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed, including oil, spices, and other essentials that made cooking easy and enjoyable. We stayed for a full week and would definitely come back again. The location is great for exploring the whole island, but we do think having a car is necessary to get the most out of the area. All in all, a wonderful experience!!!

During our stay, it rained quite a lot—probably more than usual—which led to a bit of excess moisture in the room. Because of that, the towels and sheets sometimes felt a bit damp. We also didn’t always want to open the windows too often due to mosquitoes. That said, this wasn’t a fault of the property or the host—just some bad luck with the weather!

Great location for watching sunset, nicely decorated, great ambiance because the surrounding banana plantation. Hosts were super nice, brought fresh fruit and sangria.

Tabua Village is a really nice place to stay in Madeira. We chose this place mainly because you can explore different parts of the island from here without having to drive very long distances every day. The room and the terrace are very nice and cozy. The room is not very big, but it was big enough for us as we spent most of the day exploring the island. The kitchen is well equipped and practical, especially when the hosts bring you free fruit and vegetables (which they did pretty much every day 😊 ). The parking lot in the backyard is convenient, but you have to be okay with backing up the hill. The hosts are super friendly, helpful and happy to have guests so they spoiled us with little treats. They were interested in our plans and provided help when needed. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend a stay. We would love to come back.

Poor internet connection, but wasn't an issue

Clean,safe and a very quiet location.

It was a 35 minutes downhill walk to the nearest town Ribeira Brava, and a 45 minutes walk from the town back to the studio apartment. The walk to Ponta do Sol is about 45 minutes & 55 minutes back. A car is nearly a necessity unless you like walking or have a lot of time.
