Waltham Abbey Private Property

We were met at the property & given a single key for two people staying. The front door has 4 glass triangle panels over the door and two were gone and filled with plywood. The door looked like it had been forced in at some stage so doesn't fit in the frame well, has big gaps. The person who let us in went up stairs & locked the second bedroom because there were only 2 staying. I had to insist he open the room as we had paid for the whole property as advertised, not a room. That 2nd room with the bunk beds has no curtain or blind & there is a street light right outside that lights the room all night. There was cutlery on the draining board from the previous occupant not put away which hadn't been washed properly and still had food on them. There was no duvet on the beds only a sheet and a light decorative bed cover, There was no duvet or sleeping blanket on any of the beds except the lower bunk bed which had a blanket. I had to request duvets which were delivered the next day. There were only 2 cups in the kitchen and no teaspoons, there was a small bit of a roll of toilet paper which ran out the first day.... the list goes on and on. Also, a deposit had to be paid by bank transfer prior to arrival not on arrival as stated in the advert. It says you will get it back 7 days after departure but I contacted the owner on day 9 as it hadn't been refunded. She asked for bank details to do this. She obviously doesn't have an option to reverse the transaction and didn't actively seek the information to return my money. We vacated the property on the 7th April and my money wasn't return until the 27th April and only after I had messaged her directly and then contacting Booking.com who contacted her about it. We left the property in a cleaner condition than we found it & took photos on arrival & departure to prove it.

DO NOT BOOK THIS!!! After you pay they send you address for different property. I can only describe it as a crack den!! Filthy,smelly and unsafe!!
