Breezy Ocean - The perfect getaway

Quiet location close to beach and amenities. Friendly but unobtrusive hosting. Very tasteful surroundings.

Be aware of recessed shower with quite a step into and out of if mobility is an issue. Suggest brief instructions for lock box use.

Great location, great hosts and great accomodation!

Nothing. But it’s worth noting that the property doesn’t have any air conditioning. We travelled in summer and the fan provided was more than enough.

Location was good with easy access parking. Amenities were clean and new . Renovated garage into semi attached B&B. This property is Ok for short stays only in our view

shower was tiny and about 0.3mtr above floor level . Toilet was compact and vanity to small to brush your teeth in without getting water and toothpaste over the floor. The bed was good but the pillows were not. Would benefit from hard new pillows (2 on each side), I continually woke up with a stiff neck and sore shoulders. One towel each for six nights was not enough. The condiments were good We had two days in a row where the owners were very noisy upstairs which annoyed us and we expected better consideration as paying guests .

Clean and comfortable and close to the beach

Room was beautifully appointed, with very smart appliances and facilities. Very comfortable all around. The shampoo, conditioner and bodywash were particularly fragrant and pleasant to use. I loved the large mugs and the crockery in general, both a good size and nice to use. The owner was super helpful, due to weather I wasn't sure if I'd get there as planned (I ended up being 3 hours later than anticipated) and they put lights and heating on for me, so it was warm and welcoming when I arrived. Location was good, with the beach at one end of the road (though I didn't go due to a tsunami warning being in place) and a supermarket and other amenities at the other. It is slightly away from Mt Maunganui's shopping centre but doesn't suffer for that.

I am short, (156cm) and had to reach over my head to use the microwave. It's also a good job I didn't want to use the flute glasses, as they were on a shelf way above head height even for a taller person, with no safe way to reach them (other glasses were available in a drawer). I also struggled with the shower cubicle being so high off the floor, not the venue's fault, I should have looked at the pictures more. The coffee options were Nescafe instant or the pod things, I would have preferred plunger or filter coffee options as I normally only drink decaf, which I had brought with me, but couldn't use.

Spotlessly clean. Had everything we needed. Lovely extras like cookies and nice soap. Very comfortable bed. Great location - very close to the beach and walkable to shops.
